9 Back To Work Essentials For Getting Out Of Quarantine

Quarantine has really exhausted this year, and many are tired of being at home all the time. Across the country, people have slowly started to go back to work. Although, there are some who are not returning until the new year! Whenever you are going back, you need to be prepared. It will be important to have your own items, limit sharing, and follow the guidelines set by your company. Take a look at some back to work essentials.

1. Disinfectant Wipes

It’s going to be impossible to not touch something someone else did, so it will very beneficial to have your own set up disinfectant wipes. Think about all the things you would touch, doors on the way to a meeting, using the restroom and having lunch in the common area. Wipe things down as you come and go.

2. Hand Sanitizer

Like disinfectant wipes, it is a huge help to yourself to have a portable germ killer. Invest in a larger bottle for you desk and a small one for your key chain if you don’t already have one. Offering others a squirt is the new “Does anyone want gum?” Everyone comes running.

3. Pens

You can never go wrong with too many pens. Eliminate having to ask a coworker for an extra pen at a meeting when you have five at the ready.

4. Notepads

Does anyone still write handwritten notes anymore? A lot do actually. You can remember ideas and to-do-lists better if you write them out rather than typing on a laptop. Be sure to come prepared to work and don’t look like a slacker. If you get a nice one with folders or a pocket, you can put you pens in it.

5. Mask

Depending on where you live, you may have different regulations to follow. The type of business you do could affect your regulations as well. Be prepared for anything and have one on you just in case.

It’s not a matter of being selfish but being careful. If you feel comfortable to use the community coffee in the kitchen, go for it. If not, take your own small pot for your desk. You will be brewing the smell of delight throughout all the cubicles.

7. Snacks

Are you the type who normally has a bowl of candy for everyone? This is the time to come back stocked better than ever since people always need a moral booster. Washable foods like fruit and wrapped foods like granola bars and candy can be safe to share. Sanitize your hands as needed.

8. Cold Lunch Box

Avoid even having to go to the kitchen with a lunch box that will keep your food cold all day. Most models have ice packs built in, so you just take it out of your freezer the morning you leave for work. Put whatever your planned lunch is in, and it’ll stay fresh all day!

9. Tissues

As fall rolls in, some people may have allergies. Try not to freak out on them too much, sneezing does not mean they have the coronavirus. Help them out, and keep a box for yourself. Be sure to sanitize after blowing your nose, because virus or not, that’s gross.
